Up to a certain limit, rising temperatures and carbon dioxide can be beneficial for crops. But rising temperatures also accelerate evapotranspiration from plants and soils. Therefore, areas of the world that are already water-constrained, climate change will increasingly cause adverse impacts on agricultural production through diminishing water supplies, increases in extreme weather events such as floods, and severe storms, heat stress, and increased prevalence of pests and diseases. The establishment of small-scale farms in the urban church compounds and large-scale farms in the rural church areas will help our population combat food insecurity and increase resilience to the devastating impacts of climate change
